  • Teabags- on your borders???

i remember as a small girl, playing in my grandads garden in petworth. And discovering around 300 teabags scattered all around his garden borders!!
As a child i thought this was just bizzare, and i still think it is slightly funny today.
Can anyone tell me why he may have done this? or was it just his old age seeping in on him lol xx

To my favorite honeydew, do you carrot all for me?
My heart beets for you, with your turnip nose, and radish face.
You are a peach. If we cantaloupe, lettuce marry.

Tea can slightly acidify the soil. Was he trying to grow camelias? I put them in the compost bin, but not on the soil directly.
You can use coffee grounds to acidify soil too.

Maybe it was the emptying the teapot type thing to feed the soil and maybe zap a few aphis / control the odd fungal infection at the same time. I must admit I had only heard of teabags on camellias, though.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
