Aww, throw him a party anyway! Make sure loads of his mates are there, have a big cake with lots of candles and most importantly decorate the venue with big blown up photos of his mis-spent youth. If you can get one of him naked aged three months on a furry rug infront of a gas fire, so much the better!

Mr DDL has his big 50th in July - he doesnt want a big fuss, so a few days away in Pickering, where we went for our 25th, and I reckon a family meal somewhere and a friends meal somewhere. After all the grapes recommendations, and my ideas, after all it is his birthday. Mind you, my idea, and want, to go back to Pickering!
PS, Though Ive got quite a while to my big 50, can I just mention at this point, no party, no fuss, no nowt! And yes, I was a miserable at my 40th as well!

I suppose it's near enough to Xmas to combine the two events by going away for a few days- but I love some of the other ideas peeps have come up with!!!
