I have always read books, ever since I could read (makes sense doesnt it?!). I've always got at least one fiction book, possibly two or three, on the go at once. I am currently using a postcard from a close friend who is currently spending winter in Penang. Even though Ive got lots of the usual bookmarks. (can I find them? no!)

What are you using as a bookmark at the moment?

I often use the receipt for when I bought that particular book; so when I come back to it I reminisce about where I bought it, when, what else we did that day etc etc.

The one I am reading at the moment though is just a post it note as we bought more than 1 and one of the other books got the receipt.

Unusually, a lollypop stick covered with coloured pipe cleaners made for me by my granddaughter, because usually it's the first thing I have to hand, regardless of what it is!!

I often do the same - usually use the stub from a flight whenever I'm away. Currently however I am using a proper bookmark I bought in Egypt - it's supposedly 'papyrus' with a hyroglyphic alphabet on it.

I did hear about the librarian who found a rasher of bacon being used as a bookmark. I think it was cooked.

                          I'm with JJ - I'm a corner turner I'm afraid!

However, I do have a lovely bookmark - it's in a book somewhere... My folks had a clover patch in their lawn, that regularly grew four-leaved clovers. I used to pick them, press them, and laminate each one into a bookmark with the relevant family member's name on! They didn't all get one, because it stopped producing fours!
