a mad idea?

So, I've potted on some of the seedlings I've germinated and there's too many

I've currently got 14 cauliflower, 10 broccoli and more.

I don't really know anyone who grows so was wondering if anyone on here sells their extra seedlings and how much they sell it for?

I'm not even sure I'll have the time to sort it all out but just wondering.

I take them to work and ask for a contribution to the compost and pots. But often I just swap with other plants/seeds with my colleagues

Or you could take them to a charity shop?

Does your local school run a gardening club? They might be happy of a donation.

Hubbie and i are thinking of doing a car boot sale in may and i thought i would take any of my spare plants like toms and sell them rather than trying to squeeze them where they do not fit, cannot face throwing away a seedling when i plant 2 in a pot in case 1 does not germinate and always have loads of spares.

Try putting a table in the garden people often buy like that.

I've been thinking about doing that. I'd be inclined to put a box of small envelopes out so they can put money through the letterbox though - too many scrotes who'd just rob the money in these parts.

I really like the idea of leaving them out where they can keep growing and be bought on a whim by any passer by though. I'm thinking about doing that if I get any gluts I can't store later in the year too.

I sold a few that way, I didnt put a box out but people knocked on the door. I also took some to car boot but brought most of them back. There were a lot of people doing the same so there was a glut of plants.
