  • Barbeque Please

I've just found out that we can have BBQ's on our site which is great for me as I live in a flat so have never been able. Could someone recommend a nice portable, storable in shed, cheapish BBQ?

I'm over-excited at the prospect of bbqing my own veg.

    Hi

I got a small portable one last year from Lidl. It is just the job for the Lotty and reasonably price, but can not remember how much.

If you can afford a Webber kettle BBQ then get one. Ideally out of BBQ season as they are heavily discounted then. They are really, really well built and will last you a lifetime if you look after it. I bought a cheapo Tesco one and it rotted away in a year.
I've cooked whole chickens, bread and regular BBQ stuff in my Webber and the flavour is out of this world.

We have a cheap little portable kettle bbq, we stand it on the dirt it has a little lid which we use when heating up the coals and opens it when we bbq, i think you can pick them up for about a tenner, worthwhile looking out for sales of people still trying to get rid of last years stock. If you want to wait until winter before purchasing a bbq in the sales then use the disposable ones. once you have tasted corn picked, and put straight onto the bbq you will not want to eat it any other way.

We found a gas one not quite the same but it does the job. It looks like a large fat tennis racket when its in the bag it came with.

Our first BBQ on the lottie was a piece of folded chicken wire resting across a couple of bricks and charcoal between them.
                  Worked a treat!!!
