Regular, or 'successional' sowing is really handy to do in cell-trays (the seed trays that are divided into small sections) if you're growing in containers. It's especially a good idea for things like lettuces - you don't want all of them to be ready at once, so you sow a few every 2 - 4 weeks, and once you've eaten the first lot, you can plant the new plants into the space left behind. Hope that makes sense?

Indeed, but they showed their true colours to alot of people so I'm not bothered anymore, I just do not tolerate bullying of any kind.

Yep vine is very friendly, people may have quite strong views at times, but not in a threatening way
Thanks, I honestly could not get my head round that. Will make sure I do that with my spring onions then.

This is a great forum with lovely kind people who have helped me in so many ways.

The only trouble with that for me is lack of sill space for the seed trays. It makes perfect sense though so thank you very much!

If you ask my OH she will tell you i'm past my best and ready for the compost heap, knowing she watches CSI and all the other Murder Investigation tv shows, I get the feeling she is working out how to put me in that compost heap with out being caught, it would explain why shes bought so much quick lime

with lettuce etc, you can sow a whole module of, say, 24 cells. Plant out 8, when they are big, plant out the next 8 and so on.

                    Thanks, will have a look.

Radish is one I am thinking of growing this year, so it's useful to know I can sow, grow, plant, re-plant.

Someone earlier said A4A after quoted my comment on bullying. Wans't sure what it meant.

                              Oh, no.

Don't worry, it was a very silly thing for them to do but we'll leave it there.

I need to concentrate on planning my new veggie/herb patch.
