  • Seeing the sun come over the quarry embankments just after 5am when I am working a night shift.

    All is quiet, the sky is Blue and its only a couple of hours till bed time.

    • Seeing the first hedgehog of the year eating the hog food that I put out!
      awwww,
      Then watching next doors kitten discover prickles! so funny- the hog did not budge just carried on eating!! kitty left very bewildered. First encounter over with lol

      • Paying quite a large sum of cash for flights back to Blighty for the Army Navy rugby match at Twickers, then receiving a cheque in the post from the French water board, covering the cost, and some beer money too.

                          • I'm not chatting guv, what makes me happy is the French proverb that when you hear your first cuckoo of the year, you should shake any coins you have in your pocket, which gives you good luck.
