  • Feeling smug that we got all the garden clearing done yesterday in the warm sun as it's really cold today.
And I am VERY HAPPY that I decided not to leave my toms out for the first itme yesterday, that was a good call.

Hearing my youngest who doesn't always speak clearly yet, singing Old Macdonald to himself while playing with his farm and me understanding every word

                          • Hearing via Facebook that some hugely generous donations have been made to a certain worthy cause. Absolutely welling up at the news actually, and soooooo pleased and proud to be a part of such a generous human race.

                            • Finally hearing that my bestest buddy is still alive and kicking.

He had a nasty dose of food poisoning and was incommunicado for the whole of yesterday (I know it was only a day, but it just isn't like him at all). But he called me this morning and seems to be a little better. I'm being mean and have told him he can't have a cup of white tea until he's managed to keep water and some plain crisps down (he hasn't got any bread so can't make dry toast) for at least an hour . How cruel am I?!?

                              • Knowing that at least some of my values have been handed down to my kids. Already received calls from 2 of the 3 saying in effect "dont nag me Dad, I've already voted!"

My daughter actually said "Dad, you know, I dont really mind who people vote for, as long as they vote, thats whats important."

                                Well happy Dad here.
