Having a couple of friends stay with us who we've not seen for 2 years- and realising what fantastic friends they really are!

Hearing my mum saying how proud my dad would of been of me for how I have turned out and for growing our own stuff and other bits and bobs had he still been here with us - hearing that at 31 makes you happy but tearful and missing him more than ever too

Watching my little pair of Goldfinches on the Nyjer feeder hanging in the Hawthorn tree- they sit there for hours stuffing their faces!! Little darlings.

Getting a letter written by my 5 year old grand-daughter. (It was her homework!) I can actually (eventually) make out what it says. I shall reply by post - it's exciting getting post when you're 5!

Youngest daughter's amazing and totally awesome wedding last Saturday, just the happiest day ever, even though the groom reduced the entire room to tears by speaking straight from his heart and telling us all exactly how he feels about his new wife - a wonderful and perfect day
