Nothing quite so clever as my own cross, but I got so excited last night when I watered my Lancashire Lads...they have peas

              • The great British postal service. Not sure how long thats been now, but my stick was finally delivered yesterday.
Incredibly, said stick has leaves, and the root system was still slightly damp.
Daughter has chucked it in some water for now, and will pot it up for me so I can collect next time I'm in England.
Cheers LizzyLemon, it got there eventually.

                  • This thread gives me problems, there is so MUCH to put in that I don't know where to start. Rants are easier, there's just the odd one.....
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

                        • Being told its been raining ALL weekend at home.
                          Brilliant news.
                          1. The garden desperately needed it.
                          2. I'm out here in 38 degrees.
                          3. As the village caretaker told me last time I was home, "we need it for the Pastis."

                          • Well, I'm still here!!!! And it's nearly June and I'm still feeling really well. Planning a 'proper' holiday in late July and hoping to take our eldest grandson camping for a couple of nights soon (I really thought my camping days were over). I haven't been on the vine much, but that's not because I'm ill, but because while I was 'away' (with the fairies much of the time) my son decided to 'upgrade' the computer. 'I'm a PC and I definitely DID'NT invent windows 7', but that's another story. Also the new screen is tiny and I need my reading specs. I've cuddled a new grandchild born late April and who I never thought I'd see and I remember seeing the snowdrops and thinking I'd never see the daffodils...well I did. The lottie is covered with nothing but beans and pumpkins because we started so late, but hey, I like beans and pumpkins, it's better than the weeds and I'm determined to be around to eat them. Nothing like being at death's door - before beating a hasty retreat - to make you appreciate the little things
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                            • My greatest joy is just waking up in the morning. With tasks to accomplish and a bottle of wine to help me unwind when my energy is spent.

                              • Raising over £1500 at our Charity night in memory of Bradley at the Roundhouse pub in Dagenham.

Added to the current Skeleton Trek total of £6125, with more still to be collected, we reckon we may hit the £8000 mark. The generosity of people is humbling and amazing in this less than ideal economic climate
