When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

    • Seeing that there are 3 times as many messages on the rant thread than on the happy thread - I'm not the only grumpy one

                            • Spending a wonderful sunny day in a small French village, where they re-enacted part of their history from 1207AD. All dressed up in medieval clothing, drinking mead, watching the Roy de Carbay choose his queen and all the kiddies in the village following the king and queen in their horse and carriage, throwing sweets and flower petals into the carriage.
Then coming home in my little red car with the roof down, windows down and still being beautifully warm.
                              Fantastic day out.

                              • Meeting my friend's little grandson for the first time today. When he was born they did not expect him to live (he has heart problems and will need further operations, and is deaf) but he is now around fifteen months old, happy, walking, making his own noises, and spent the time in my garden exploring the mudpatch and terrorising the guineapig.
