There are days when I hate my job, however, there are times that it gives me moments that a lot of people couldnt even dream about.

        Walking with crocodiles,
Eating couscous on the floor of a local chieftans palace,
Bumping into a camel in the dark,
        Locking Germans into their office.

This weekend, (Thursday/Friday over here) I took a couple of the Indian staff on a bit of a sightseeing tour (if you've ever been to Oran, you will know its not a long trip), got to the top of the big hill to see the old church, and there were a group of local kids playing footy.
Jumped out of the car and asked in my very halting Arabic if I could join in.
There was much laughter, firstly at my Arabic, secondly at my age, and thirdly at the ridiculousness of some old fat white bloke jumping out of a car and asking if he could play.

But they let me. Brilliant. They only spoke Arabic, no French or English, but within about 30 seconds they knew my name, and I was just another player on the team.
The Indians were a bit puzzled but who cares?

I try to be a problem solver. Real or imaginary. If anyone I love has a problem I have a need to help. If there are no problems then everything is hunky-dory.

I went on a creativity booster course today, and did some painting. It make me realise how much I used to love painting and I am now going to do some more!!!
