Thanks for your help Jeanied- my first reaction is - what have I done-and I bet it's something stupidly silly- sad really!
But then OH did sort out a virus on here just before it changed- so it must be something to do with that- and not me after all???

At least I'm pretty sure that all the settings appear to be as they were!

(I've no idea what that does- but I'm pretty sure it said that before)

OK- so where would I find cookies affecting just the Vine HotStuff?

Click on Tools, then Options
Select Privacy
In the Cookies panel, click on Show Cookies
To remove a single cookie click on the entry in the list and click on the Remove Cookie button
To remove all cookies click on the Remove All Cookies button

I am utterly confused by it...wasn't ok this afternoon- and I've just checked again on going to bed= and it's back to normal.........see!!!!
