first job was in a bog roll factory, (oh the joy), then onto almost 10 years in her majestys armed forces (royal signals, Army), then worked for the mod when i got out building a new computer network, followed that with the foreign and commonwealth office, then onto the atomic weapons establishment, and then onto the fire and rescue service installing the new comms system into fire engines, alas, all contracts have finished and now i am part of the 3 million, for now. Circus Skills instructor
Life Guard
Strawberry picker
Kennel assistant
samples assistant in lino factory (they had clocks, mobiles, wall art and lots of other things made of lino - genius!)
data inputer (yawnn)
PE Teacher
fitness instructor
sales and marketing manager
mortgage consultant
community co-ordinator
I see a trend now...the older I've got the more boring the job....time for a change me thinks!

My most interesting job was when I worked as a conservator. My specialism was documents and books, so I got to mess about with medieval Court Rolls, Victorian adventurer's diaries, records from the slave trade in the West Indies, etc. We also had an archaeology dept, who sometimes called for 'all hands on deck', so I got to do things like carry Egyptian mummies up the road to the vets (for x-rays! our machine wasn't big enough) clean the teeth of a woolly mammoth and model Anglo Saxon jewelleryI was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
