Quote...Mark Houlahan: Moving Quotes on Life

If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and everyday you have the opportunity to write a new page.

The past has passed and I raise my glass to your future xxxx

OK, no I've not been there (although have been to a couple of similar places where despite the food being nice and the service good I just felt ripped off) but I don't really do what is called fine dining, to me it's simply not value for money. However I do realise that we all have different definitions of value. Maybe the word poncey was unfair but I'd still rather go elsewhere.

One thing worth reiterating is that I've no probs with Piskie going and having a great time, if somebody arranges something you like then it's dead nice. I was merely curious as to whether it was just me on here who doesn't like all that kind of fuss and to be honest finds it all a bit unsettling.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I like eating out but probably wouldn't choose a place like this as I am quite fussy about the foods I like. I have watched a few of Raymond's cookery programmes and he is really quite entertaining and the food he prepares looks lovely (if a little lacking in quantity for Madmax) but out of a few programmes I have only seem bits and pieces that I would look forward to eating. For a real foodie I can imagine it would be like letting a child loose in a sweetie shop though.

                            we leave on 7 May

Mods - could one of you kind souls change the heading to read 'To mark leaving Oxfordshire' as celebrate is the wrong word and I can't change titles, even when using 'advanced'
