Which night/day do we think should be should be the main focus? Assuming that those who are B&B-ing will only want to pay for one night...

I'll be there from Friday to Monday probably, but if we were to say Saturday night/Sunday day would that suit most? Or Sunday day & Sunday night?

We were planning on the Saturday as the traffic will probably be a bit easier than on the Friday.

      Oh, we'll be there - B&B-ing as;

      a) LadyWayne doesn't do camping
      b) We don't have a tent

Doesn't worry me, just let us know and we'll fall in with plans.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Ah, I assumed (which I should never do) that we were actually talking about staying Sunday night, with the main event on the BH Monday. However, it doesn't matter whats decided to us. We'll be booking a holiday cottage for the week starting on the Saturday, but with the intention of camping in the field with you guys for one of those nights.

If I tell you my dog is so timid she is frightened of chickens and I have only a teensy weensy tent, can I come ? Or maybe stay at a site somewhere nearby ?
I’m really keen to get out more, people keep telling me to…

The trouble with having The Main Event on the Monday is that peeps wouldn't have time to get home...

Although it's looking like we may have some problems with that entire weekend - lots of B&B places appear to be booked up already

                Snohare, there are no chickens

                      I don't know. No-one has said "I've booked already"...

Skipton IS a tourist destination, and the Pennine Way goes through Lothersdale/Cowling the villages either side of Dad's place, and it IS a Bank Holiday weekend...

As soon as I get 5 minutes, I shall drive up there, because there's a couple of places with B&B signs outside, but they don't come up on a Google search.

I've had a look at a few 'suitable' places within the BD22 postcode and they have all been booked up on the 28th (Saturday).

LadyWayne and I are going to have another look tonight to see if we can find somewhere. A tent has been mentioned as a last minute option, but only if we can borrow one (and kit) and only if I can prove it's the 'cheaper option'.

Might have to look further afield which means taxi's.

                          BD23 is Skipton, BD20 is Lothersdale/Cross Hills/Keighley, BD22 is Cowling/Keighley. Might give you a bit more scope.

Can we camp in your dad's field Sarz or do we have to camp elsewhere?

Camping is absolutely fine in the field Bernie, it's the B&B-ers who might have difficulty in finding somewhere...
