Have a subscription for GYO which is great, and also for Amateur Gardening (which I'm cancelling as it's a bit "fluffy" and the only seeds they give away are ****** flowers!

History magaxine, Archeology magazine, Good Homes and also GW not all at the same time though. Grow your own bought me by Mr Miffy as part of my chrissie pressie and love waiting for it to drop onto door mat every month saves alot of effort tracking it down as never quite had time to do that.

Sorry Piskie - my cracked sense of humour in action - I was going to say you enjoy your gardening but that was far too obvious. I can never see double entendres till they are pointed out to me!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

We get 'Home Farmer' magazine - interesting articles on chickens/ducks etc, other livestock, GYO-ing and small self-sufficiency type stuff, plus cracking recipes....Home Farmer - Home

Apparently I'm getting 3 free copies of Home Farmer as a freebie for buying a polytunnel but not seen it yet - looks like it could be interesting.

Don't subscribe to anything at the moment, am taking a break from GYO and the subscription for Kitchen Gardener which my brother bought me last year has just run out too. Probably won't bother for a while as I do get a bit fed up with the same one after a while.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thanks Nothepaul, must have missed that. I like the look of the home farmer but I would like to have a look at it before I signed up. Mmmmm my local agent never heard of it.

I used to get loads of magazines but have drastically cut down, at the polite request of Mr R, to:

                      GYO
                      Taste Italia

I buy the odd surfing magazine, other food/home/garden magazines if something catches my eye, and the occasional Vogue, but not bothered about subscribing to them.
                      I don't roll on Shabbos

Last year I had a subscription to Country Kitchen magazine, which I really enjoyed. I pulled out loads of recipies and have them in a special folder.

The Home Farmer mag is relatively new, and isn't stocked widely... before getting a sub, we had to go to our local agri-feed merchants to get it.

I'm happy to send back copies for Grapes to have a look at (and I'll send an SAE so you can send it back!)

Indeed, it's my other sub too.

And Im working my way round the gardening and smallholding mags to see which, if any, I like best.
