You need to check your engine can take it:

    Biodiesel Approval

'Biodiesel dissolves rubber, used for older fuel hoses, but most new cars after some date have synthetic-based ones.' - It'd have to be a very old car to have rubber hoses.
Excuse me, could we have an eel? You've got eels down your leg.

No problems with the hoses. It is an old P reg Transit with a Bosch fuel system so their shouldn't be no worries.

Pity you're so far away, we've got a friend who's selling his. He used it for his Disco for a while, but now has a shiny new company car so doesn't need it any more.
So yeah, they work, but like PW says, there's no point unless you can get a supply of oil cheap.

M2R if you can track down the tiff nedham website (was it 5th gear) there is a link to a good site with info on bio-plants and other fuel economy things. Also wasnt there something on 'Its not easy being green' (its now newhousefarm.tv) They built their own very cheaply, ok so Dick Strawbridge is an engineer or similar, but it did seem fairly straightforward.

Must admit its something Im looking into vuagely (sp) but my 306 wreck might take straight veg oil, 50/50 so that would be much easier.

My OH just filters the oil two or three times and pours it in his Landy. It mixes with whatever diesel he's got in the tank already, bio, regular or whatever. It runs better on it too.
