Our ancient hamlet doesn't exist on Wiki but the town which grew up nearby is listed.

I have uncovered some interesting stuff thanks to your thread Wayne - it would be logical to assume that our (originally very old) terraced cottage was built to house workers for the local agricultural estate. This might help me with my research into why we have apple trees in our garden which I am finding out were possibly grown to supply rootstocks for elsewhere.

Are you a member of the Harlington Manor Leisure Club then Wayne? Or did you give up your membership because of the ban on Beans?

On a slight spin-off, I've just Googled where I grew up. Below the Wikipedia page is a far more accurate and quite amusing Uncyclopedia page.

Bob, you can create a Wiki page if you want to - I'm currently in the process of writing one for our company.

To be honest, we did look at it when we first moved and it is lovely. However, it's prohibitively expensive and the no Bean thing would put us off now.

Bridport is considered the 10th best place to live and in 2001 census had 13,000 inhabitants. That was before the contribution made by my family lol.

We get quite a write-up. Colchester is said to be the oldest town in Britain, and the source of three nursery rhymes (Old King Cole, Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). Also the target of a nuclear attack in 1984. That's the book 1984, not the year.

Quite an artistic alumni, including John Constable, half of Blur, Jay Kay from Jamiroquai and, er, Margaret Thatcher.
                                Resistance is fertile
