The Boat Race
Saturday 03 April
3:10pm - 5:10pm
BBC1
After comprehensively winning last year's race, Oxford are in no mood to let the momentum slip in their pursuit of Cambridge's overall 79-75 wins in the series that began in 1829. "Last year we had the strongest crew we've ever had but it didn't row as smooth as have this year," says Sjoerd Hamburger, the Dutchman at the helm of the Dark Blues multinational crew seeking Oxford's fifth win in six years. "The speeds we are hitting are as good as last year." Which will come as ominous news for his Light Blue counterpart American Deaglan McEachern and his equally cosmopolitan crew. The race begins at 4.30pm. Coverage is also on British Eurosport (4.30pm).
