The bit that I found not to my taste was at the start when he was eating - bleeuugh - although I'll not say more on that in case some haven't seen it yet

Loved Tennant and Eccleston - not sure about current fellow.
Have to give him time to settle in. Remember its not just him but a whole raft of peeps/things (tardis set) behind the scenes which have changed - notably the principal writer. Following the great Russell T Davies is always going to be hard.
Disturbingly during the first show I did have flashbacks to the Sylvester McCoy Doctor - no particular reason why or scene I can cite - but it kept flashing thru memory! Really do hope it was just a moment or two of quirkiness of new Doc re-emerging - because some of those storylines were abysmal in McCoy's day - nothing to do with Bonnie Langford screaming (following script) or McCoy. Would hate to think that after such a long wait to get franchise reborn it would go belly up now.
Have to re-record as Sky Box went belly up during recording - no decent land signal here.
As someone has already said - benefit of doubt m'lud - jury out!Last edited by quark1; 04-04-2010, 01:50 PM.

Well...my 7 year old thought it was brilliant, my 5 year old didnt watch as too scary. I quite liked it, but not bow tie. the new docs always have a lot of the old doctors traits, and then lose them as they settle in and develop their own character. Must admit loved david tennant but was really ready for a change, and am looking forward to a new set of characteristics and definately a enw set of facial expressions! And woohoo.... the blinking angels are back... the scariest ever... don't blink...don't turn around...
