Yeah, the Angels was one of the best episodes for a long time. Not sure about the new guy, DT is such a hard act to follow. The food thing at the start reminded me of Tigger in the "House at Pooh Corner", the whole "Haycorns, that's what Tiggers like best" and all that.

Was better than I thought it might be.

Oh those angels - they were brilliant and so scary - can't wait for that episode.

I noticed her tights had seams up the back, which proves I'm not dead yet

Well, I was worried that he was going to be really terrible, but it was better than I thought. I still find him, well.....just irritating. And, I wonder if some younger people won't find him rather condescending.
Perhaps I'm just still sulking because DT isn't there any more

I noticed her skirt was WAY too short for a police uniform!!

However, on to more serious matters....

I was prepared not to like it, as DT's shoes were very large ones to fill....

However, I found Mr Smith quite endearing.... I think he has a got a little way to go before he finds his own rhythm with the character, but I'm willing to wait!

Besides, I hated Catherine Tate when she first came in to Dr Who and was practically crying when I saw her last episode!!

Like OWG I did not like Catherine Tate at first but she grew on me. Will give the ginger woman from Inverness time to settle in. Matt Smith I'll give a bit more time. Think I'm disappointed DT is no longer in the role but all in all was not too bad.

I thought the new guy did quite well. Although i have to say he exceded most peoples expectations, but to be fair they were quite low. I think they did a good job of the first episode and its never easy starting out with a new dr. I remember when David Tennant took over i thought i wouldnt like him, and then cried my eyes out when he left! Hopefully Matt Smith will be the same. Also having a new writer makes the change even bigger.

I really liked the new Doctor, O.H. wasn't so impressed but I think it was more the storyline than the actor although he did keep saying he thought he was ugly which I thought was cruel, I think he's sort of cute & bewildered looking! Thought the little girl was brilliant & the grown-up version better than some of past side-kicks. Didn't like the bowtie myself either.

I thought it ok, like most have said it just takes times to get use to the new guys!
However if I could have one wish for a new Doctor Who.....Brian Cox (prof) would do nicely for me

Well, I finally got round to watching it last night - and I thought it was good. John Pertwee was always my favourite until David Tennant came along, he was the absolute best. I agree with the Catherine Tate comments too, had no time for her until she became the assistant. I thought Martha Jones was the best assistant, though.

I'm waffling... New fella? I liked him! Don't 'do' bow ties on straight men though!

                              Bring back Torchwood!

I just asked my 88 year old mum-in-law (Dr Who fan) what she thought of it & the jury's still out for her. She thinks the new doctor might be O.K. but she thought the story was too slow & they didn't have any good monsters/aliens in it, she wasn't impressed by the large worm which turned into a man & his dog!
