in the 30s group until August when I get a dirty great big party and move up a group - yah, can't wait, love parties!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Working on the same theory that we currently measure Bean's age, I am currently 492 months old.

Or, 1769 weeks old if you prefer - which was how we used to age him back in the early days.

Or you could make it sound like less by saying you're just 4.1 decades old.

Maths never was my strong point.

Shame on you Ollie. If you'd done this poll a week ago I would have been in a lower age bracket than I am now. Never mind. Glad you're back.

                      • I like to say I'm 40 plus VAT, it was even better when the rate dropped to 15%.

Well being honest: I'm slightly surprised at the results. I didn't think there'd be so many in the younger brackets. I was expecting the mean to be 5-10 years higher than it is.
So many of my friends think it's odd for me to grow veg' at my age, so it's reassuring to find a good number of Grapes in the same bracket.

As Flum said earlier, the standard deviation is skewed as older gardeners are less likely to use the internet or regularly check a forum. Would definitely be nice to see a 90+ Grape though.

Wouldnt it be fabulous to find a little 90+ little old dear labouring away in their allotment then coming in and using the internet and chatting on a forum lol. Although I was very impressed when my late 70's grandmother was instant messaging me on facebook hehehe.

Not only am I shocked at how many years have gone by for me but I'm constantly surprised by the people much younger than me growing into adults. LOL.
