when I hit 40, I went into major decline (Better Half will vouch for this!!!) Got to 50, not quite so bad, but still depressed. 60 came along AND I LOVE IT!!!!! I can be a grumpy git and get away with it! We have 1 grandson and another 2 on the way, and I LOVE IT! I've got my bus pass AND I LOVE IT! I'm still working with the so called 'disaffected youngsters' AND I LOVE IT!

Good for you Zeb. My 30s were better than my 20s, even though I went through a heck of a lot.

The 70s though? For some they can be grim, though not for me luckily. I'm 71, not in very good health but in a wonderful marriage and able to do my container gardening with a bit of help with the heavy jobs. We live in a beautiful, peaceful place and I have all my faculties.
Of course the bus and ferry concessions have just been removed here, adding to the cost of living on an island!

I'm 47 this May...I still feel like I'm in my twenty's, although my body thinks it's in its nineties some day's...so dose that make me middle aged????
I haven't decided how long I’m going to live.
I'm holding on to the last few months of my 30's turning 40 has no fear for me however it does for my OH as I have told her from 40 onwards I can start wearing white socks under my sandals, if only the kids were a bit older then I could take them to school with my slippers on but I think that will be better to leave till my 50'sThought For The Day

I have a small, but good circle of friends, a fulfilling job, I get on with my family, my partner is probably my life-partner, and I have lovely pets too.
