At risk of everything going bossoms up, my luck appears to be well and truly on the turn.
Step son works for Environment Agency and they are doing a big "Culvert Job" locally. Called up the other day to say that the chap whose land they are working on had a 6X8 greenhouse on it and he wanted it gone - was I interested? WADDAYOUTHINK???
Anyway, went down there with SS and Mr Teez in the van, and now it's all dismantaled and stacked safely in the barn - complete with base. Only two panes of glass were cracked and I've got to get a few new nuts and bolts, but I'm really made up!
Better still, the AE get rid of a terrific lot of stuff that we Wombles can make use of. SS has promised me as much 12" black plastic Culvert as I can use. (He's going to cut it into two foot legnths for me). Tomato pot problem solved!
So if you lot happen upon the EA doing any work in your area, for goodness sake ASK!! They will probably be only too happy to let you have stuff as it saves them having to load it all up and cart it back to the depot!
