I'm with Polly on this one, the show annoys me, every time I look up I seem to see these two over fed people eating or getting a bit serious about something not very important. I know its all about being a food snob and that's what makes the show.

My revenge (when I'm Emporer Pumpkin of the World) would be to go on to the show and make them a meal of a left over chicken and baked bean Toasted Sandwich made in a Breville Sandwich Toaster, or the alternative would be a Pot Noodle followed by Dessert which will be an Angel Delight!

And here's the best bit, I'd win!

I don't really enjoy competitive cooking. I don't think that's what it's all about. I love the Hairy Bikers who see it all as a 'share-fest' - just a different point of view.

The sandwich recipe is actually stolen from my younger brother, he's 12 years my junior. I heard him and his mate (both born on the same day), aged about 11, in the kitchen, when it all went quiet. Investigating, they'd got the breville out and were making these bizarre sandwiches.
Being so young, they didn't realise the mess the baked bean sauce would make as it oozed out of the toaster. Being the kind elder brother I am, I cleared up before Grotbags found out...

A deserved winner I think. I did think Tim was going to nab it at one point.

i seem to watch masterchef quite a lot- dont know why, as i m not that interested in cooking, and not that good at it! and if i was served up those plates of artistic, but, i am sure 'cold' food, i would probably send it back, especially as i see they sweat continually, whilst cooking it. have to admit i do have a snigger at how huge the forkfuls of food are that the presenters get into thier mouths, when tasting- what must there stomachs feel like at the end of a session? but it is interesting to watch, as a human interest program ( i like knowing what makes different people tick) although ultimately, i agree with the posters who point out that with so many people starving, it's all a bit ott. also, hate to see them boiling live lobsters and crabs. have to admit i quite like the delicious miss dahl program that has just started.

Definitely the right man who won. His stuff was amazing! The other two were really good also, but Dhruv just seemed to get better and better with each thing he cooked. Would love him to come up here and cook something!

Just watched the final episode which I'd recorded the other night - what the hell was going on in that Dutch restaurant!?! I'm sorry but I'd be well annoyed if I was served up a flower arrangement with a few prawns on top. I apprecitate that it is probably difficult to do but it really was pointless.

Re the winner, am sure his food tasted nice but didn't like the presentation at all, too arranged for my liking but that's what they like on there and at least the young beardy bloke didn't win who always seemed to have a challenge in getting flavour into his food which I'd always thought was the main point of food........

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I'm afraid I had a little snigger at that point...mostly because it bought back memories of the miniature 'gardens' we used to make, as children, to enter in to the local flower show competitions. (using your mum's old compact mirror for the pond and lots of moss bits for the grass.)

It also struck me that the Dutch chef and his wife both seemed a touch humourless - there was a certain 'severity' about them - but then again, maybe behind closed doors they're laughing their socks off...
