Out of interest, I looked in the supermarket for the dried peas she used, but couldnt see them...any idea what ones they were?

As entertainment, had its points, BUT
2 hens and (as has been said) should be 3
(BTW anyone ever heard of a pub called "the Hen and Chickens"? I certainly have, chickens aren't deer or sheep!)
She was planting things where they would 'look nice' fair enough, but no mention of how she planned to manage crop rotation.
I LIKED the Sophie Dahl stuff. It wasn't MEANT to be haut-cuisine (or even to compete with Delia), it was, as she said in the description, "mood cooking".
Could have done without some of the camera-trickery, but that is 'producer' stuff!Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Last year I started quite a few chick peas from a supermarket pack. Grew well, but once I planted them out the slugs enjoyed them. Might try again this year, in a container.Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Put her up against Valentine Warner and his geeky gusto of chomping things he cook and I would rather make his food and not hers...

I really liked it and already watched it twice! It almost made me feel like someone was following me around and making a show about my life and back garden -- or how I'd like for it to be.
I wish I could make falafel that doesn't fall apart! Are broad beans and canned chick peas the secret?
And, I admit, I'd be really afraid to clip the chickens' wings and have no idea who to call to find out if I can even keep chickens in my back garden or who to call about collecting tree cuttings. It was very informative for the right audience.
