  • New Dr figure.

Tomorrow is Ash's Birthday and he waited until today to let me know that instead of the planned Dinosaur cake he'd like a Tardis with the new Dr standing by it.
Now the Tardis shouldn't be too tough(ha~ha...famous last words)however I don't think I'm quite up to modelling the new doc...are play figures available yet.I've googled and the most recent are series 11...is that the one I want?

Try one of my old faves for all things sci-fi and much more - The Forbidden Planet!

Doctor Who 2010 - 11th Doctor - Doctor & Crash Doctor Set - £13.99 : Forbidden Planet International, Your Online Entertainment Superstore for Star Wars, Doctor Who, Star Trek and more

Twin pack of new Dr figures at £13.99 doesn't sound too bad to me! Presume its available now as they don't say otherwise.

There used to be one here in Brighton but it closed many years ago. Couple dotted around the country. London store an Aladdin's cave for the connoisseur of the genre. They even looked thru returned stock for me when I had one last video to find in my original series Star Trek to complete.

                      FINAL DEMAND... Pictures

Seriously though, one question, how do you cut a tall cake (assuming that it was)?

I need to suss how to ice a tall cake...although the front didn't look too bad the back and sides were a complete mess...I wonder if it would be better/possible to cut four oblongs to fit each side and stick them on once hardened a bit?
The top was also a bit wonky due to it getting to the early hours, discovering I needed an extra layer for height and really not having the energy to make another cake I just cut up and stuck together lots of off cuts.....Ash loved it though,so all was good

Also...had I not left it til the last minute I might have been able to paint the sides too
Matthew...you just cut a huge slice working from the back and divide it up until it's ready to topple and then you have a flat cake.

Very good you should be proud. I always buy them as I cant even make a cake let alone decorate one. Daughter's 13th last year was a make up bag shape complete with make up, cost me £25 and my son had a DJ deck one and that was also £25.
