Im afraid it wasnt for me...recipes where good but didnt really get a good vibe from it.
I loved Jamie at Home and the rest before that, the Italy one was good. Didnt enjoy the get britain to cook one.

His books are my main recipe source!

He is inspirational. He is the best thing since sliced bread. Compared to the rest he is the champion of 'cannot cook' unless I have a book to tell me how.

Yea - to be honest I could take or leave the shows themselves. The food was decent and I was insanely jealous of some of the shops he's got access to (specialist shops are a bit thin on the ground around here) but as in the previous post, some of it seemed a bit contrived. Maybe I mean the same thing as your not a good vibe.
Not his strongest show that's for sure... though I do like the "put your own twist on it" ethos running through it.

I think JO is really good, have followed him since he first started and have several of his books, even my son loves his recipes and is always nicking my books to cook some of the things that I used to cook. I must admit he has changed over the years and seems to have progressed now to 'touring' the world and trying different 'cuisines', some are very interesting to watch, although not the usual traditional cookery programs that we are used to, but even so, very interesting.

I am also a big 'Gary Rhodes' fan, loved his cooking right from the beginning, but again, his cooking seems to have changed and he is now into his traditional English style of cooking, some of which I'm not a big fan of myself, but loved his style of cooking at the start of his career.

Saturday mornings wouldn't be the same without 'James', I think he is brilliant!

Rick Stein is also my kind of chef, have met him and also been to his restaurant.

But I must admit my favourite chef now is definitely Jean Christophe Novelli....I am his biggest fan and it's not just his cooking I'm in love with!
