  • I am still trying to shift the lbs.... lost about 9lbs since xmas. Doind slimming world (sort of) all green days as I am a veggie and it is the most boring diet ever!

Also been increasing my fitness, I now do 2 hour zumba classes a week, do zumba and wii dance twice a week and have started interval training with a friend twice a week (this is where you walk for 2 mins then run for 2, then walk for 2). I feel much fitter!

I use an app on my phone called cardiotrainer which you can log workouts and it tells you how many you have burned etc.

My husband had a shock when his father died last month and his sedentary lifestyle was a big factor, so hubby has even started interval training too! (After doing no formal exersise for almost 8 years)

I am trying to be a bit fitter so my (second) attempt at IVF which I started on Tuesday (27 days of injections for a needle-phobe is REALLY hard) has more of a chance of sucess...

Lost a pound this week, weigh-in is Wednesdays. Chances are the loss will slow down, or go up(!) with the meds I am on as they cause bloating etc, bu

      • Can i join in Hazel's diary too please?!

As Jamie is now 3 months old i think its about time i started trying to shift some of these lb's i've gained.

Pre pregnancy i was aprox. 9st 10lb and went up to aprox 12st, at the moment i weigh 10st 11lb so will aim to lose a stone to get back to where i was to begin with. My main problem is pre-pregnancy i could generally eat what i wanted as i excercised quite a lot at the gym and walking the dog. Now the dog has a poorly leg so isn't being walked and i don't really have enough spare time to go to the gym. Ah well, i suppose i'll have to start watching what i eat, lol! Trouble is that i seem to have zero will power at the moment

          • OK, time for me to get back on track. All the weight I managed to lose at the back end of last year has gone back on, and more. I'm lethargic and uncomfortable.

I WILL give up Carbs (after I've finished the last portion of Lasagne for my dinner, this evening).
I WILL walk the Dog further and more frequently.
            I WILL ride more often.
I WILL dig out my bike, get it serviced, and start cycling again.

            I WILL.

                • I've done my best to stay out of here friends (in denial), but warmer days have brought out smaller t-shirts that show without a doubt that I need to visit this thread more often. Starting tomorrow, hopefully.

Just don't do anything rash, Jane - your body has had the most wonderful and extraordinary experience just a short while ago!

Mind you, I can see why you are keen to sort out any excess sooner rather than later - I see many young mums passing by who are chatting with their buggies going up into the town who are not a healthy size now and - frankly - will stay that way.

Lack of will power or not, why don't you push wee Jamie around the town 'to get a paper/pint of milk/bottle of wine for later' each day for a mile jog/walk to get you back into the swing?

                        • Small amount of healthy food today and plenty of exercise on the garden in order to have a moderate amount of alcohol this evening. Well, it is Saturday.

                            • I'm re-visiting too. After a brief stint of slimming world, ok, more like 3 months, my weight loss has been zero. I am staying the same [ok, I've lost a pounbd a month]. This I realised too late is because I can't excercise [except for swimming which is difficult]. I need a stupid diet to actually lose weight, and I can't be bothered to be that dim.
I will re-visit as and when in the future
I did spend a couple of hours in the garden today, making a new hugelkultur [the most work I've done since September]...I'm feeling it now....
