    • I'll resist the temptation to get weighed again tomorrow Jules, it might be more bad news! Thanks for the positive vibes, it really does help.

      • I had given up sliced bread and then faltered with a sandwich with my salad yesterday. Three slices of wholemeal, I had no idea how high it is in calories, so that's a no go area from today. Good lesson.

        • Simply put, we don't eat anything white - no flours, sugars, potatoes, pasta, rice or milk. So no bread at all, although the BH eats Burgen Soya & Linseed and he can manage two slices, with my diabetic/low carb raspberry curd, without it spiking his blood sugar levels. Plastering it in proper butter makes it healthier too. I think the only wheat we eat are crackers but we check the total carb count on the packets.

The only white things we eat are cauliflower, cream and cheeses. We eat cream and cheeses by the cowful. I've taken to scarfing white chocolate but it's got to stop, I like it too much.

No idea how many calories we scoff in a day, we only count the carbs.

          • I've had a really rubbish day at work.
I've got over 500 calories left to consume.
I'm going to drink them rather than eat them.
            And I'll enjoy it.

                  • I rarely eat breakfast at home, but have it every morning at work. I missed it this morning because of back to back meetings and I was absolutely starving at lunchtime. I'm sure I couldn't concentrate properly in the meetings either, so that's another lesson learned.

                    • Lost 2 pounds two weeks ago, found it last week, lost a pound and a half this week, the other 50p must be in my pocket, unless there's a hole in it and that's where it's going

                      • Just as I expected - I found the two pounds again, but I'm putting it down to my inactivity as well as dithering with my diet. Went through my wardrobe again yesterday and found some winter clothes I had forgotten about. If I could just lose a stone ...........

                        • Stick at it Flo, you get some good weeks and some bad and, in my experience, the weight often comes off the week after you have been good
You'll get there but it is a shame that we can't just think a stone off our weight sometimes!

                          • I keep reminding myself that at WW I started in August and I had lost a stone and a half and reached my target by December. I also keep reminding myself that it was nearly 10 years ago and my metabolism has probably changed. My energy levels certainly have! You're right Scarey, if we could only think ourselves thin
