-0.25lb off. I blame the chinese and do-nuts we had last weekend.

I did, once - but it's really really boring for a vegetarian. I was sick of mushroom omelettes after about a week

My normal summer diet is pretty low carb naturally: salad, beans & dressing, lovely. It's just the cold dark wet months of winter that make me crave jacket spuds, pasta and cheese

I know exactly what you mean! The first month is the worst, for me, then I'm fine. It takes that long for the change to kick in, and the weight to start going down. As you can tell, I'm not that regimented with it! But it does work, for me!

        Eventually.

There is a kinder version of Atkins (New High Protein diet) which I found useful, but it was tough going living with someone not on it, so just calorie-counting right now.
You can have as much green veg as you like, an orange (for the vitamins) and 1 slice of wholemeal bread, and the rest is all proteiny stuff.
I skipped the bread and had 2 items of fruit.

Bread has to be exceptionally fresh for me to see it as anything other than a 'carrier' for more flavoursome stuff.

It's a diet, not a punishment. Just make sure you get back on track tomorrow.

I've lapsed a bit this week, I had Carbs at a wake on Monday, a bar of Marmite Choccy later in the week, and my trousers are tighter than they were a week ago Luckily, I couldn't weigh myself this weekend - I'd probably have been disappointed if I had!

Part of my problem is, I don't drink enough fluids...

I only have about 2 of an evening, and not every evening, and 2 or 3 coffees during the day. I've spent most of my life dehydrated, and really need to re-educate myself to drinking more. I guess it comes from working on sites with no facilities. No loo = no drink!

I'm getting better, as I get constipated now, if I don't drink enough...

norty day for me too: Indian takeaway and a coupla pints of ale. Back on track tomorrow

edit: I split my takeaway into 3 portions, so wasn't as greedy as I might have been. And it also means I can eat it again today
