Porridge made with water for breakfast (but I did add some treacle to sweeten it). Hoping it fills me up until lunchtime. Must make a determined effort this week or I know I'll give up. I keep reminding myself that when I was 50, I lost a stone and a half at WW, but it did take about 5 months. Pass me the teddy with the name Percy Verance will you?

Porridge for brekky, didn't get hungry until 2pm but I was in hospital so didn't have lunch until just now (and I had a Cornetto - same cals as a sandwich, but more enjoyable)

edit for dinnertime: leftover Indian takeaway & a large port (I so earned the port)

noodles and black coffee for breakfast, nothing else to eat that didn't involve an hours cooking. Went shopping and recycling, just had the mushroom/garlic/creme fraiche/parlsey on toast and a hazlenut yoghurt.
I'm stuffed now and going to have a kip after getting up 2 hours earlier than I actually wanted to.
4 o bleedin' clock in the morning!!!
napping aids digestion innit, or I hope it does

Not too sure how I've done this week... been a bit hit and miss with food, but went running twice last week. Had a very naughty McD's yesterday on the way back from the hospital - but it was 9pm and we hadn't eaten, and we had a 90 minute drive home.

Weigh in is tomorrow morning before hospital

Haven't been around for a bit so it's good to see you all doing your bit with this annual task!
The last few weeks have been bizarre: I've been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia, which means that I can only eat small meals, but I am also in the process of coming off morphine painkiller patches and my metabolism is going through the roof! My tastes are changing too and, even though bread and pasta have made their way onto the menu fairly frequently, I am losing weight. Down to 11st 13lb today. Looking back it is obvious now that the weight piled on since I started using the patches - 20/20 vision with hindsight! Perhaps I'll even get back to 10st!!!

Good to see you back Anna, hope your recovery is speedy and your weight loss steady. Ooh it's hard to stay on track, but I've managed it today.

Toast and Marmite for breakfast, bread and marmalade for lunch, half-slice of gammon with pineapple, for supper with boiled spuds and carrots, plus mushroom and tomato (all cooked in oven without any added fat, apart from the spuds-and-carrots). Half-bottle of chardonay with supper.
Not eating supper tomorrow (maybe a biscuit and cup of coffee, I go out at supper time on Tuesdays), so can manage a tiny portion of haggis with some clapshot on Wednesday (Burns Night, a day late).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I'm just wondering why tetchiness and headache have to be part of dieting?
                            Must be a scientific reason?

Diet going well................... but I ain't a nice person to live with!

Also have a theory that most of the weight comes off during the night..............go to bed hungy and wake up pounds less!

Are you drinking enough Snadge? The headache can be caused by lack of fluid. In other words, take more water with it.

I had both last week - I get tetchy if I need to eat (although I don't feel hunger as such, I get v.irritable) Something low GI (oaty) or high protein sorts me out.

Headaches ... lack of water like what she said If you're eating less food, you're almost automatically taking on less water
