Thanks a&d, I needed that. I do have fluctuations, but not the girly sort, it's more to do with fluid retention, so I should remind myself of that. I do weigh at the same time, wearing the same clothes. Just to got to keep going, thanks again for the motivation.

Not for me, I get miserable, I eat. Just had a spectacularly bad 24 hours so made a conscious decision to comfort eat, (yes I know that sounds mad but in my case it is way better than the alternative!) One bar of G&B and a cheese straw later and I am starting to feel a bit better. Best I go to bed before I start on the cheese and biccies

No glass of red wine with my beef either, but I couldn't go without the roast parsnip.

I'm afraid I succumbed to the lure of the Yorkie Pud - well ya can't have Beef without, can ya!!!?

I actually stole another and shoved it down my gullet on the way ot of the kitchen just now, too! So that's TWO!

Whilst everyone on this thread (at the moment) is a responsible adult, and as such capable of making their own decisions, can I just remind everyone that a) We do have youngsters on the Vine and b) The Vine has a strong Google presence. This means that young 'uns could be reading this, so lets try and keep within the realms of healthy weight loss please.

toast - porridge - jacket spud & hummous. No exercise apart from a mile bike ride to the physio, lower back is pingy.

edit: lower back miraculously better so jogged a couple of miles with doggy

                          Slim at Home Magazine

Does anyone know if they still publish Slim at Home magazine. I haven't seen it for ages and a trawl on the internet doesn't come up with anything up-to-date so I wonder if it's folded.

I like it because there's no prescribed diet or points to work out, all the other magazines seem to be affilated to a club.

Porridge made with water for breakfast, tomato soup, yoghurt and some pineapple pieces for lunch. Determined effort this week. I am getting a bit fed up with people asking me why I'm on a diet!

Porridge made with milk and a spoon of honey on top as

                                1) I am an active guy
                                2) my mouth is killing (major dentals on thursday)
                                3) its low GI and will keep me feeling full whilst actually being quite healthy

Rather than eating horrid diety type things I am going to eat enjoyable things but work on my portion size.
