Ryvita tastes like cardboard: again, I'd rather have a small portion of something tasty
Peanuts are high in fat, you'd be better with almonds.

Fill yourself up with veg - I like chilli sauce or pickles on mine to spice them up a bit.

Having said that, if it works for you, carry on
See thats what I need someone to tell me what not to eat, I sort of like ryvita as long as its got something on it. WW is ok ish, only bought three and thats cos they were very cheap. I had last nights with some veg and was quite full after.
Have put loads of veg on the shopping list but we have veg every day anyway.

Tonight will be hard as I raid the machine at work, usually a packet of crisps, a twirl and a roll of whatever is in the machine, not a lot of choice, and although there is a canteen and some healthy options, the person is always on her break when I have mine and gets shirty if you ask her to take your money. Will get something and take with me I think.

Will have a ww before I go to work.
Starting today with two weetabix no sugar and small amount of milk. I have run out of yogurt, I usually put that on top along with some fruit.
    Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
    and ends with backache

    • Our shopping bill has pretty much halved with dietting. Smaller portions of meat, spuds and bread, fish more often, loads more veg, which we usually get from the market instead of the supermarket (no real chance to grow much more than token amounts), and fresh fruit for 'nibbles'.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

      • Now that sounds like sensible dieting Hilary, well done!

I need to get back in to "the zone". The Zone(if thats not too faffy) is achieved after about three days of doing the diet solidly with no deviations, hesitations or abbreviations LOL I think to myself - I only have to get through today.. and I think the same the next day too (and the day after)! Makes it feel manageable!

Right.... back on form this week!
Sounds like you are doing the heart foundation diet similar to mine. Three days of purgatory with a kebab to look forward to on Thursday!

That's, at a rough guess, 550 cals, with lots of fat, sugar & salt, no fibre, vitamins or anything good for you You could instead have one of these

              1) 150 ml fruit juice
              2) cup a soup, 2 packs of melba toast
              3) 3% total fat dinner: chicken/turkey/tuna with veg, very little spud/pasta

See, if I tried to exist on that, even for a fortnight, I couldn't manage my daily routine, never mind the extra exercise I'm doing.... I'd have fainted by 10am!!

It's to reduce the fat in his liver (pre-op). If he doesn't stick to it, he doesn't have the op. He has about 4 stone of fat reserves, so he can hack it

It may be best to invest in a crash helmet for yourself, to be worn at all times for the next fortnight...........

If he's oot like me............ dieting does my napper in and makes me like a bear with a sore heed!

                    • Are prawn crackers really bad? I think that's a rhetorical question, cause I'm sure they are. Oh dear.
