Quite like the look of your diet Hazel! Beer seems to be an integral part of it?

      I'm not daft, Snadge!

A drink a night (1/2 pt) is allowed anyway, and I've jigged the calories in the diet a bit to allow for an extra one (swap 2 x 50cal 'snacks' for 1/2 pt) - makes it there or there abouts.

      • I seem to have gained 2 lbs in a week ... how? I did have some Doritos y'day but that won't do it. I may have water retention (it''s *that* week)

          • I'm still off the wagon. Will be back on it from next Saturday. My original aim of losing a couple of stone by the end of March now seems laughable! I was so sure, at the beginning, that I could do it.

            • GP advises healthy eating, but until my fluid balance is restored (i.e. medication titrated properly) I will find it difficult to lose weight. Not much of an excuse really, will just have to try harder!

              • Can I join you guys in here?

I jumped on the scales at the weekend & was a little shocked at the display

My daughter & I have decided to do the 5k race for life in June, we start training on Friday and I would much rather we run/jog it without me looking like a sweaty pink hippo.

I have about 2st to loose, do you think I could do that by June?

Would it be ok if I post up my daily diet as I have seen others do? If I have to confess to my sins, it might keep me on track a little more

                  • We started dietting in mid October, with a few weeks relaxation over Christmas. OH has lost well over 2 stone, I have lost about 1½ stone. That is with very little extra exercise (almost no extra until the last few weeks when we got Shadow).

Easily (if you are disciplined that is)

Mr TS lost a stone in a fortnight on a Slimfast type diet, then moved onto something more sensible after that.
He's now losing 1-2lb a week, and is on track to lose another stone by 5th June

Definitely - a pound and a half to two pounds a week is quite doable, providing that you don't have the will to do it.

In my case it just shows everyone how boring and unvaried my diet is!

There was a survey some time ago which showed the number of different meals in the average cook's repertoire was about 4 - this made our family laugh and scoff as we all count ourselves as good cooks (if on 'down to earth cooking' side) and obviously produce much more varied a fare! I laugh on the other side of my face, now I can see my food intake...
