I tend to be using more cottage cheese than I ever did. I would just like to recommend Longley Farm cottage cheese as opposed to any other. Other stuff seems sloppy and slimy, Longley Farms is lush and firm!

Bad, bad day. I'm in a lot of pain, been awake since 4am again ... had chips, hot choc and a choc flapjack so far. I'm now going through the cupboards hunting for even more carbs. Who the devil decided to only have low-fat foods in the darn house? oh that would be me
edit: it evened out by bedtime. I wasn't hungry so only had fruit juice for dinner and no booze, therefore the chips weren't so bad, they were within my daily cal allowance. Back on track nowLast edited by Two_Sheds; 05-03-2011, 08:23 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Hope you get better soon T_S! And your 'eating for three' comment made me laugh (but definatley not eating for three - only one greedy gob!)
I've been 'grazing' at food all day but haven't really had that much compared to usual.
Fruit & Fibre & soy milk
apple
bowl of wholegrain pasta with sundried tom sauce
1 tortilla wrap
2 snakajak biscuits
Gonna have a nice stir fry for dinner, and some banana and soy yog (no fat) for afters. yum yum
I think I might have figured out what is contributing to my weight gain too - alcohol! I was teetotal that year in uni when I lost loads of weight and was a nice size 12. I now drink (not loads during winter, more during summer) alcohol at least once a week. Add on top of that not having to cycle every day to uni or town, having a good routine at the gym and I can see how 2stone has crept back on me.
Gonna conquer it though this time Swimming and gym twice a week, and cycling into work again and the weight will come off like before.
Not gonna aim for a certain weight, more a 'feeling'. I can't be bothered with dreaming of and maintaining a 'perfect' body, just wanna be abit slimmer.

A hot drink covers a multitude of needs too - low fat hot choc? Personally, I find hot malt drinks do 'comfort' for me (although low fat made with water is rubbish compared to proper warm milk jobbies).
Lots of warm thoughts from us here (although I'm not sure if you are comforted by the thought that with the Vine you are not alone, or if its a bit creepy!).

Keeping busy keeps me off the bickies - I was really craving a pack of caramel Hob Nobs yesterday but it would've meant a 3 mile bike to town again, therefore I decided I didn't need them that badly Not having junk in the house is the way to goAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

A unit of alcohol has about 70 calories, but there is often sugar accompanying it, sometimes a lot, and it's very easy to underestimate how many units you are drinking. If you drink a medium-dry wine, at 12%, the typical bottle has 8.4 units of alcohol, and probably about 700 calories in total.Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Good day today, relaxed and nice. Small bowl cereal - beany soup - spud & beans, no booze (but no exercise either)

Right, I have 12 weeks before flying abroad to have medical treatment, the outcome of which will be greatly helped if my bmi is less...... THAT surely has to be my motivation, right? It's still AWOL at the mo.. (despite the weight loss this week)
But the flights are booked so I am hoping it is returning soon........

oooooh Janeyo! Thats an excellent motivator! Pin the tickets (or a pic of them ) to the fridge door (or the biccie tin) or wherever you get your naughties from!
I have lost another 7lbs! I've now lost 30lbs! YAY not bad for a month and a half! BMI is now 36.71 (down from 42 EEEK) - I feel better but not so sure its really showing. Well what I mean is that no one has noticed (apart from my mum and hubbie!)
I bought a lovely new suit for my interview on Wednesday - a dress and jacket. Size 22 but you I can really see my tummy is smaller! I feel quite foxy in it! LOL
I have cut back on carbs further and am concentrating on getting more whole protein and smaller portions of veg. Less cheese and cut down on caffieine too. I think Its done the trick. We'll see next week!

Snadger - haha, that made me laugh out loud. I too have wondered this very question...
Jelliebabe - WOW! That's a hell of a lot of weight lost there, well done Did you take measurements before you started? That's always the best way to tell, and sometimes it feels like nothing is happening but you lose inches without noticing sometimes...and obviously without others noticing. Maybe people are too shy to mention, I know I feel awkward asking someone if they have lost weight unless I know they are dieting...
I have been pretty good today...
Banana, dollop of soy yogurt, a few nuts and cereal flakes
4 dates (got a new box - I'd usually scoff 10 or so in a day!!)
large bowl of pasta
salad - avacado, leaves, tofu, toms, onion, artichoke
1x german rye bread with vegan mayo and salad

Doesn't help the cause much when my Daughter sneakily tells OH " Me Dad looked better when he was carrying a bit of weight"
All I can think of is that every pound lost is a pound less to carry for a half marathon later in the year! (Great North Run)My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
