She should have gone to Spec Savers.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Nah - y'see, you are both totally missing the point on this - it's not the absolute distance that matters here, you should be focussing on the salient fact that that I COULDN'T run all the way to the shops and I CAN NOW - and back again - hurrah! I win!

      tee hee!

(*whispers - it really isn't very far at all - just nipping up the road and round the corner really. But at least I do it at a run now - and carrying shopping on the way back)

Take no notice of the meanies Hazel - I'm impressed! I couldn't run to the end of my front path Maybe later in the year when I'm smaller!

Buzzing talk - Yes I did take measurements! I will have to get the tape measure out.

The best test is when your clothes get looser.

I can take my jeans off without undoing them! I've had to swap to a smaller pair (I have a range from FAT - Thin!)

No actually thats from Fat to less fat

              • Hopefully weight loss will improve after tuesday. I always give up alcohol for Lent, and this year coffee also. I like my coffee sweet, and artificial sweeteners just are not the answer, so switching to tea (less than half the sugar) and sparkling water instead of wine with supper, should help.

                  • Another 300g dropped this week, that's 4lb since I started (it's harder to shift when you're near your target weight anyway)

Mr TS has lost about a stone and a half - his jeans now fall down off his hips. I wish he'd stop showing everyone though

                        • Well done everyone!!! Loads of weight being shifted I've done lots of gardening and eating no so much food this weekend, gonna get on my bike in the week and swimming twice next week too, so should be losing some. Only problem is every set of scales I go on seem to be broken as they are all a good few kilos out each time...do you all weigh at home on same scales?

                            • The scales in the chemist are supposed to be much more accurate than home scales because they are professionally calibrated.

But weight loss is about the difference from where you started, so as long as you weigh yourself in the same circumstances each time (on the same scales on a hard floor wearing the same clothes at the same time each week), you will have a pretty good idea of what you are losing.

I'm not going to use the accurate Boots scales, though, as I weigh myself in the nuddy.
