            Yum! Good for you!

The trickiest thing about this listing-what-you-eat thing - for me - is not the grub (I have a fairly iron will power, but am also happy to confess to the odd lapse), it's the booze (which I know is also full of calories).

In theory I can drink a healthy 12 units a week (but it's more like 15 or so, if we're honest - although I do have 2 or 3 drink-free days a week), and Rosemary Conley is one for allowing a unit a day (plus an interchangeble pudding/drink) - but it's quite amazing how those 'a civilised glass of wine with dinner then an occasional nip to the local for a drink with last orders - oh, and we see friends on a Wed, and a weekend night' tots up!

            • These days just about all our drinking is done at home (ours or sometimes our son's) and with supper (and occasionally lunch, but not often). I tend not to drink when we have work next day (not totally reliable, especially after 40 days of no alcohol, no coffee...) but when I do drink with a meal it tends to be half-a-bottle of wine, or a can of lager if the meal is spicey. Cider is for when we've been to the cider farm (eg on the way home from a survey in Taunton yesterday). OH likes the extra-dry (I think it tastes like paint stripper, not that I've tasted paint stripper, but you know what I mean) I prefer the medium.

                • Only one Dog walk a day for the last two days, as it's been too hot! Today we went to a Barbie, and Oscar played with two other Dogs, so is now sound asleep. I, on the other hand, was very good for the last few days, but caved in and had a bit of Potato Salad with my grub, then completely ruined it by having Apple Pie and Ice Cream. I will behave tomorrow, promise.

                              • I am still persevering - got the wedding in 5 weeks or so. I start my IVF drugs in about 3 weeks so anticipating much swelling and blaoateness etc so can't NOT fit into my dress if so, so need to shift a bit extra just in case.

hard with all the eggs in the house though

But since the hypnotherapy I have snacked WAY less, in fact I don't snack anymore and have all but cut out drinking - which I have to do whilst on the IVF anyway so good to get in practice...

Doing less excersise while kids are off sxhool as no school walk twice a day, but the weather been so lovely I've been outside pottering all day everyday so that will have burned a few instead
