    Breakfast: 1 x Heston B's hot cross bun & butter
    Lunch: poached egg, 2 x toast & butter
    Dinner: moroccan lamb, rice & veg

    Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 2 x wine, 2 x pts bitter

    Exercise: run 5km, toning exercises per Rosemary Conley

    • I am now bowing out of this thread as I am not allowed to lose actively 'lose' weight at the moment. I am carrying on with my exersise as far as my body allows and hopefully can stick to a healthy eating plan instead of a 'diet'.

        Nothing wrong with sensible exercise and healthy eating - indeed, isn't that what we should all be aiming for?

          Lunch: roast tomato soup & chunk of bread
          Dinner: skinny lamb goulash & veg

          Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 2 x wine, 2 x pts bitter

          Exercise: none - but cleaned the house top to bottom

            Lunch: prawn cocktail; roast lamb & all the trimmings; slice of easter cake
            Dinner: 1 x eggy bread

            Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 1 x wine, half a dozen mini eggs

            Exercise: run 8km

                  Lunch: caribbean vegetable and roast tomato soup
                  Dinner: mince/bulgar wheat/ratatouille combo with pasta

                  Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 1 x wine, 1 x options hot choc, 1 x biscuit, 1 slice orange sponge cake

                  Exercise: run 3.5km

                  • A 'Don't You Just Love Your Old Mum?' Moment

                    I bought some actual 'running shoes' yesterday (as opposed to a pair of generic trainers I've kept for 'sports' for years and are consequently little used) on the advice of a number of runners I know.

                    Because I wanted to break them in, yesterday's run was not my 5km 'weekday' run, but just to mums - 1.75km. I thought if they were ok, I would run back, and if disaster struck and I was covered in blisters, at least she could run me home.

                    I ran there - feet fine - and she said, 'Oh - look at you! Get your breath back - I've made a cup of tea, and - here - I've kept you a nice piece of orange sponge cake that I've made.'

                    The cake was devoured in seconds - mum's homemade cakes are so good, after all - but I'm not entirely sure she's grasped the whole diet/exercise/lose weight principle here.

                    I spent the 1.75km run home calculating if I'd actually consumed more calories in the cake than I'd expended on the run getting there and back....

                      Lunch: leftovers of mince/bulgar wheat/ratatouille combo with pasta
                      Dinner: skinny lamb goulash & veg

                      Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 2 big glasses x wine, 1 1/2 pts bitter, 1 x biscuit

                      Exercise: run 5km, toning exercises per Rosemary Conley

                        Dinner: roast chicken breast with sweet orange sauce, caribbean rice

                        Extras: cups of tea throughout the day, 1 glass x wine, 1/2 piece lemon drizzle cake

                          as I am creeping back in. Good Luck Janeyo. I lost the little bit of weight before Easter and I've put it straight back on over the holiday. This may be due in some small way to the smoked bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast each morning. However, I have been back on track these last 3 days and will try to continue over the weekend (I find it so much easier to diet/eat sensibly at work).
