Right, that's your lot, folks - I have achieved what I set out to do! And an unexpected consequence is being able to run 8 1/2 miles at a pop, and think nothing of 'nipping out for a run' of 3 miles in my lunch hour.
Thanks for being with me peeps - I wouldn't have stuck to the straight and narrow without you.Attached Files

Mmmmmmmmmm methinks I've got myself a deadline. Just signed up for the Great North Run. My eldest son has Chrohn's disease so is doing a sponsored run for the Chrohn's people. I've been volunteered to run with him.
I've ran it three times before but we last did the GNR together about 14 years ago so he may finish up carrying me........
My other son is running for another charity so one can get my arms and tuther my legs.
Must lose 1/2 a stone or more before 16th September as getting on towards 16 stone is just too much to carry around the 13 mile track with my gammy heels.........My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Got my GNR pack through so decided to have an early morning jog this morning to see if I've still got it after so many years?
Ran for about half an hour continuous without stopping. Chuffed to bits at how comparatively easy it was. (Must be all the dog walking!)
Must endeavour to lose 1/2 stone at least as it's like running with an extra three bags of suger strapped to my waist at present.Last edited by Snadger; 29-04-2012, 10:34 AM.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

Basically, not having seconds or puddings as I do now, or biccies in the morning should just about do it!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
