  • It's a fab app, and like you say Hazel, once you start logging things it gets easier as it remembers, and it's easy to add your own foods too - I've used it for nearly 2 years now

      • Week 2, day 1 (day 8)

        Breakfast: bowl blackberries & raspberries, ww fromage frais
        Lunch: poached egg, 1 x bread
        Dinner: sausage, ratatouille, french & runner beans
        Snacks/treats: 1pt bitter, 1 bisc, small slice fruit cake & small slice cheese

        Calorie tot (logging on MFP): 1,249

        Exercise: cycle 8.5km

        • I lost the will to live with MFP this morning. I couldn't understand why there was no food 'database' and couldn't be bothered to look everything up to enter it all individually. Anyway, this afternoon, it's all working properly, so it was either a glitch, or my useless broadband speed stopping it from loading.

            • I've got the app on my phone which means I can 'add food' and then scan in the bar code of what I'm eating and it will add it, and to my database too for next time

              • I use it in my iPhone constantly, update it on the go if I have anything when I'm out and about

                  • Let's lose a bit of weight.....

                    Day 2 of week 1

                    Breakfast - Tesco fruit loaf with low fat spread, Coffee with sweetener

                    Lunch - Half tin tuna, crispy salad, tomatoes, home grown cucumber, Hellmans pepper mayonnaise, apple, 1 slice watermelon, 1 plum, Muller light cherry yoghurt

                    Dinner - Tuna steak, jacket potato with low fat spread, cheese and cottage cheese with pineapple

                    Snacks - 8 squares Cadburys Nutty Caramel, 2 Starburst

                    Total calories 1476 (yikes!)

                    Exercise - 10 minute walk in morning to and from bus stop, 15 minutes of squats and crunches, 35 minutes treadmill uphill

                    Calories burnt 340

                    Net calories 1136

                    • If anyone else's interested, Tesc0 are selling home gym equipment: balls, ropes, weights etc. With the money-off vouchers they keep giving me, I got £26 of weights for £8.

                        Dinner: steak strips in soy sauce, courgette, french & runner beans, salad, coleslaw
                        Snacks/treats: not-so-small slice fruit cake, options hot choc made with milk

                        Calorie tot (logging on MFP): 1,095

                        Exercise: run 8km, toning exercises per RC

                            My Home - Food - left arrow by today's date. Takes you to yesterday. Click on Add Food below whichever meal you want to add to.
