                              • You put me to shame Hazel. I'm not huge but would certainly like to lose the baby weight and be back where I was before I got pg with DS (who has just started Reception...), which means losing about 1.5 stone. DH has several stone to lose. We started a low-carb thing in February of last year, but it's bloody hard when you're trying to feed the children 'normally' and so have bread and potatoes in the house. Also I really love cooking so sometimes just throw caution to the wind.

We were both doing well and were half a stone and a stone down respectively, then Christmas last year. Disaster. Both put on much of the weight we'd lost as we ate the treats , and drank them Neither of us has quite clawed back since, and to my horror I once slipped over the magic figure I was never *ever* going to see on the scales again. Since then I've hovered around a pound or two over or a pound or two under.

Over the summer holidays far too many glasses of wine slipped down and suddenly I was X stone FIVE pounds, erk!! That was really horrifying, to be the best part of half a stone OVER the weight I was never ever going to be again!! I've knocked the alcohol on the head (I'm not a big drinker usually - please shut your mind to the fact that I'm venturing into home brew! - but do like a glass of wine when I'm relaxing with friends or on holiday), tried very hard to eat only when I'm properly hungry, and this morning I'd dropped three pounds, which is a huge relief.
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
