  • A use for Bubble Wrap?

Hi, wasnt sure which section to put this in. But basically following arrival of a large package I have LOADS of bubble wrap going spare.

Could this be of any use in the garden? Was wondering whether it would be useful for plants that need extra warmth/humidity?

Seems a shame to put it in the bin.

That's exactly what I use it for, Helgalush - keeping plants warm during a cold snap - you can also line clay pots with the bubblewrap inside to stop them cracking if they are standing outside all winter and the soil freezes. The bubblewrap acts as a buffer to the soil expansion.
I kept my lemon tree, wrapped in bubblewrap, outside all last winter and it seems to be OK still!

Great suggestions from Jeanie, Helga. It is also a stress reliever if you pop the little bubbles.

Yep as others have said, really useful for plant protection. I have lined my mini ghs with it in the past to give them some extra insulation. Useful tip about lining the pots Jeanied, I'll certainly be trying that one this year!
