Not got above freezing but no snow. The water I changed for the birds at 1.30 today has frozen all the way and is solid! I think I will need to wrap the bowl in fleece or something?

Put a drop of that apple cider vinegar in the birds water, its ment to help it from freezing .... worked so far here, but i bet its seriously cold up there.

It been below zero all day here too, was freezing fog this morning, then after the sun lifted the fog it's melted the frost where its had sunshine, but my front garden and roof are still very frosty! Cant wait for the snow tomorrow afternoon / evening, a 35 miles drive home down windy country lanes (or the M6) in snow is definitely fun, especially in a MINI!!

We've all got Chelsea Tractors here because there's an uphill or a downhill every which way to get out of here in the snow and ice, and because the sun doesn't rise above the trees at this time of year, we don't thaw out for weeks once it snows !

I'm all ready for it now though (Tesco was PACKED this afternoon with Jo Public panic-buying !) Got the absolute essentials in: catfood, Milk, Chocolate Nesquik..... Alcohol and the new MIKA Album.
Once I've got my Trousers safely home, it can snow all it likes then !

Snowed here yesterday - enough for Iona and her pals to make a snowman at school - but not today - though it hasn't got above freezing here today - greenhouse thermometer was showing -3 at three o'clock this afternoon

Lol Trousers!! The days of me wearing Mini-skirts are long gone I'm afraid, as are the days of walking round town late at night in a skimpy top n mini skirt going out with friends! Since I met Mr D I dont feel the need to go out much anymore, rather spend time either snuggled up with him, or have friends round for a drink!

Ditto Mrs. D ! but there's nowt wrong with a mini, thick woolly tights and a fab pair of boots at our age, just not a 'pelmet' !!!
We're of the snuggle and drink at home brigade too. It's prohibitively expensive to drink or socialise anywhere else these days.....

And Mandy, I forgot to say I bought a gigantic Toblerone as well (!)

Depends on which forecast you believe, but at least one said we should have had snow today. It didn't happen - very cold, minus 4 last night and although we had beautiful sunshine all day it didn't get above 4 degrees. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow Elmo, snow and all.

Woke to a fair bit of snow here this morning ... and the sounds of a car stuck getting up the small hill outside our house. He/she was stuck in the ditch until the snow plough came through. It was still -3 degrees when i went into work at 9, and I met a car at the crossroads coming at me sideways. He sort of piroutted around me and I just kept going! His face looked ashen as he had no control over the car at all. It was a fluke we missed each other. It was a slow drive into work, but managed the rest ok. Icy all day and freezing hard now. More snow forecast tonight and tomorrow so brought work home with me, so now it can just SNOW AS HARD AS IT LIKES!!!!!
