Hi all, The snow has finally reached sunny Suffolk - it started at about 9am, but isn't laying (it's too salty here on the North Sea coast). I'm holed up indoors with Gardeners World and Gardening News magazines (all the garden-related mags they have in our local shop).

smallblueplanet can I ask how you keep the snow from bringing down the roof of your fruit cage? OH and I have just spent half an hour trying to knock the thick show off, it has ripped in a number of places

Ahh Caroline I don't really know the answer to that, as the fruit cage belongs to our neighbour Edgar. I can see that the netting is sagging but I don't think he bothers about the snow, maybe its the type of netting he's got? I'd ask him the type for you, but he's an old boy and I bet its been up 'forever' and he can't remember!

Maybe someone on the allotments or fruit thread might be able to help?

It's snowing in Lancaster, but not sticking

Hopefully it will give up and go away....

it's still coming down here, but we haven't had a snowballs worth on the ground yet! Bubblewrap has gone out, but he wouldn't take his camera - said it's not worth it. Even our yard hasn't been covered yet!
                        No real fun.

We've got sunshine now! Never saw as much as a single snowflake though the sky looked really full of snow this time yesterday.

It snowed for about 2 hours in Lancaster then gave up. Nothing has stuck, so it's the same as it was yesterday. That means I'll be in work tomorrow then

Schools were off here today, and possibly tomorrow, I think.

Here's what it looks like outside my window...
