  • Fabric Hunt....

Hey everyone, I lost the auction on this fabric (see the end of the page) and really really really want something the same or similar but have no luck on ebay, or googling 'pretty muslin fabric'.

So I'm asking you to let me know if you've seen some near you and if you'd be prepared to buy it (I'll send money before hand of course) and then post it to me.

    Thanks

Oppppppps - helps if you have the link
6 YDS VERY PRETTY CREAM FLORAL MUSLIN CURTAIN FABRIC on eBay (end time 27-Apr-10 10:17:46 BST)

Yep I realised just before I got in the bath. But how impressed would I have been if someone said 'here it is' without the link LOL.

Did you try emailing the seller to see if they have any more?

Could you try searching under embroidered/similar cotton voile instead of muslin?

Cheap Fabric, Curtains, DressMaking, Wedding,Upholstery Fabrics, Discount Fabrics Shop-Abakhan Fabrics UK,

I use their physical shop, have done for years. Take a nosey and see if they have what you want. I they have let me know and I will look in the off cuts section of the store here as it is usually cheaper as it is sold by weight as opposed to length. 0 meters of muslin is in the spare bedroom ready to be dyes and turned in to curtains, my poor washing machine won't know what hits it.

Tamsin - unfortunately I've already tried that and lost the last 2 auctions of hers. This morning was the last batch she had and I lost the auction by 1p - I hate those 'cheat' programs people use on ebay.

Rhona I did try that too but it's soooooo dangerous - I've come across stacks of wonderful fabric which I'm lusting after as well now (original kimono silks, amazing embroidered curtain fabrics etc) :0

Lizzy I am almost loth to offer this - but anything for a fellow grape. I could go to my local fabric shop for you - the problem is I always come out with stuff I didn't even know I wanted!
Have a look at their website and see what they have
                  The Fabric Warehouse Ltd / Cowley / Middlesex / 01895 448465
or you could try them on e-bay

I don't know Lizzie - like I say going in to the shop is a bit of a risky manoevre for me!
I went there for the first time in months but my leaflet may be a year old.

Hey Jeanied - rest assured you won't have to go to the shop - their on-line shop isn't open yet so I have no idea what they've got

(you can breathe out now )

I REALLY appreciate the offer though - I do know how dangerous these places are

I'm lucky enough to have two amazing fabric shops in Colchester where I live and I've got to go up to town on Saturday to get a birthday pressie for my sister so I'll take the risk and have a nose round and see if they've got anything to suit!

I don't think I'll take my debit card with me... and I'll count out exactly what I'm going to spend on the pressie and just take that...

... dammit that still leaves the possibility of sister being without a birthday pressie!

Im beginning to think that I'm actually asking far too much of you lovely grapes on this one.

So mods, please shut this one down before someone does serious damage to their bank account and blames me.
