  • Choosing a new home for the inlaws ....

.... and I don't mean an Care Home either.

    The responsibility is enormous.

My in-laws live about 300 miles away but now want to relocate to be nearer us, on account of our girls being the youngest grandkids. They need to find somewhere to rent and the list of 'must haves' and 'don't-want-in-a-million-years' is really rather terrifying especially as dear OH (please note the heavy sarcasm ) said "not to worry, Reet'll find you somewhere."

Until this moment MIL and I have gotten on really well but the responsibility of choosing them a new home .....................................

Just think of it in such a way as you are finding properties as close as match as possible to their requirements.
It'll be them choosing the house!!

You could well fnd something which ticks all their boxes and when they go to look at it decide that it just doesn't quite feel right.
Homes are like that...you're just the presenter of several properties..they're the ones who have the final say surely???

    good luck though!!!!

No Nicos sweetie, you don't understand (gulp). They can't afford to come up and look over a few houses.

I find one or two that look suitable. OH and I go give it the once over, send them some pic's and then they say yay or nay based on our recommendation (well mine really because OH seems to think that in the 8yrs or so we've lived here I'm the one who knows where's good to live and where's not ).

      Ohhhhhhhhh I don't feel well .....

Find 'em somewhere to rent for a year, while they search for themselves.
