We had that hailstorm too, about lunchtime. Well done all of you, how proud do you feel?

      Well guys,
tomorrrow is our last day, we will walk the 13 or so miles from Carlisle to Bowness-on-Solway.

It has been a hell of a week, and I have seen some of the most amazingly beautiful landscapes ever.
Us girls, (and one guy) decided for the sake of our health, feet, general wellbeing to split the 21 miler (Chollerford-Gilsland) into 2 days of 10 miles or so each and we are glad we did because it was very tough going with some very steep climbs to be had. I will confess to treating some of those climbs as irresistible double-dares and just going for them instead of taking the sensible option of the military path around and dancing like a lunatic when I got to the top. (TBH, I was so darn happy yesterday, nothing could have brought me down)

Its been emotional, (and not only from the sheer pain of my shredded little toes) Brad has been in my thoughts throughout, and most definitely in MIkki's too.
I know full well I will cry like a baby tomorrow night, not only because of what we have done, but why. We willl all write messages on a sky lantern tomorrow and send it on up to him.

      Thanks again

Looks like you had some good fun & fairly good weather Kirsty as well as a lot of hard work! Well done to you all, a great way to remember Bradley.
P.S. Are those your tootsies in the foot spa?

They certainly are my feet in the footspa!! So worth it, even though one of my little toenails fell off about half an hour ago!!

Kirsty, just looked at your piccies - really great stuff. Some amazing scenery and a great crowd, with the looks of things.*

I'm sure you're deservedly proud of your achievement - literally an emotional journey, I guess.

*'things' being 'all of the photos apparently taken in pubs with reward beer in hand.'

Great photo's Kirsty, souvenirs of a fantastic time being done for a great cause.
                Hope you're starting to recover.

                  Hi Bob,
I am feeling fine. Blisters healing well, no aches and pains in the muscles at all, although I have lost the littlest toenails on each foot!
Had a couple of 'down' days when I first got home, but it was suggested to me that I was missing the exercise and the endorphins that get released when you do - and that seems a sound reason to me. Have bounced back to normal self now though, and the boots will soon be back on to keep up with walking regularly as I found it so enjoyable it didn't feel like exercise

Super photos Kirsty. Glad you had a good time as well as raising lots of money in memory of Bradley.
