Thats really excellent news and I know how much hard work and determination it takes. I've been smoke free for about 3 years now and still miss them sort of (Well, until someone who still smokes goes by or speaks to me and then actually I don't miss them at all and feel a bit smug that Ive stopped).

Oh well done you! I gave up end of August last year so know how hard it is! Had to avoid best mates, all smokers, for a while, but can now soacialise smoke free too! I too was a backy smoker, and more than anything sort of miss the mechanics of the rolling! Took up crochet for a while!

Figure Ill tackle the weight gain as it warms up! (Yep my wardobe has a variety of sizes in it!

Well done well done well done! Know just how difficult it is!

Cheers guys.........CtC & Binley, you will do it when it is the right time for you. I used Champix which is a tablet taken for 2 weeks while you are still smoking. During that 2 weeks, you set a quit date & carry on taking tablets for 12 weeks in total. If I said it was easy, I would be lying to you but it does get easier. Without Bullsh***ing, it really was the vine that got me through it. Every time I got a craving, I logged on & before I knew it, the craving had gone.

I personally thought inhalers were a godsend as you still had the hand to mouth motion & the throat sensation was just like a ciggy.

I have heard that it can exacerbate suicidal tenancies but not sickness. I suppose each of us reacts differently to certain medications. If I remember right, I used to take it with food.

well done, very common to put on between a stone and 1 1/2 stone within the first year, but you normally do loose it.
